Here’s the desk where I write, as it appeared in a previous apartment. I call it “Shepard Central.” It’s six feet high and six feet wide. I made it myself—the bottom part around 1980, the top shelves a few years later, after I got my first computer. The computer in the picture is a Power Mac G4. I still work on one of those, but a later model.
