Skeeter (The Original)

The real-life cat Skeeter was chief inspiration for the main character in Aaron Shepard’s picture book Skeeter and the Weasels. Though Skeeter officially belonged to Aaron’s wife, Anne L. Watson (who illustrated the book), he and Aaron were good buddies.
