Legends

Legends are folktales that are told as if they were true—whether they are or not. They’re always told about a particular person or place that people know or believe in. (Sometimes tall tales too are called legends, but that’s just for fun.) Legends can be found in many other sections of Aaron’s World of Stories, but the retellings on this page are different. Since legends are supposed to be true, Aaron wrote these in a pattern used by magazines for nonfiction. See if you can tell what’s different.
